Here is list of some the key points we are committed to promising our guests every time we come into contact with them:
1. We Listen!
This tops the list because it is the most important thing we can do. We let our guests talk and tell us what happened or how we can make it right. We don’t assume anything.
2. Get feedback
This doesn’t mean an electronic survey about our service, it means we encourage suggestions from our guests! After all, we are marketing to our guests’ needs!
3. Anticipate needs
We work hard to learn what our guests want and need before they tell us. We try to impress them everyday!
4. It’s extremely important to be fair when saying no.
There are times when a guest wants us to do things that are impossible, however, if we are receptive to the things we can do for them… we can still find away to help!
5. We know who our customer are!
We are constantly offering new things, making changes, and updating our accommodations, marketing, and programs.
6. We trust our guests!
We love our guests from the start, and we make sure to put our best foot forward to really create a great relationship from the first interaction.
7. Say “Yesâ€
Whenever our guests have a reasonable request, we accommodate them. We know saying yes goes a long way!
8. We Validate our guests concerns
Our team knows and understands that we never argue with our guests or put them on the defensive. We are trained to understand their frustration and do everything we can to help them.
9. Give more than expected
We look at our relationships with our guests as a long- term engagement. We want to offer more than expected so our guests know we care about them and appreciate their business.
10. We strive to make our guests feel appreciated!
11. We make sure not to minimize our guests’ concerns and always treat them with respect.

Tropical Beach Resorts along with Sarasota county has seen another year of growth in our total number of visitors this year.
According to Visit Sarasota County (VSC), Sarasota County had 740,300 visitors in fiscal year 2013, spending $640,974,200 in the area economy. That is a 5.8% jump in visitors from fiscal year 2012 and a 10.2% increase in direct spending.
Tropical Beach Resorts is pleased that business is up.
The 2013 fiscal year ended June 30. Data from the Sarasota County Tax Collector also paints a positive picture for the area tourism industry.
With three months of revenue left to be calculated for 2013, Sarasota County has already raised $12,179,818 in revenue from the Tourist Development Tax — eclipsing the total revenue reported for 2011. This comes after multiple years of increased revenues from the tax. Development Tax revenue grew by 16% in 2011, and by 17.5% in 2012.
The Tourist Development Tax is a 5% charge on the revenue from rentals of six months or less. Revenue from the tax is used for tourism promotion, maintenance and renourishment of beach park facilities and beaches, sports stadiums, nature center facilities and promoting new tourist attractions and events.
Projects like the proposed dredging of Big Pass also rely on Development Tax revenue.
Tropical Beach Resorts General Manager said.” We are very pleased business continues to improve. We’ve done so many upgrades to the property and have continued to grow a talented staff… we couldn’t be happier it’s paying off.”

Trying to decide on the location for your next family vacation? Looking for the perfect spot to spend your hard-earned money and well-deserved time off?
With so many different choices, it can be an overwhelming and sometimes exhausting experience planning your trip.
Let us introduce you to the little piece of paradise called Siesta Key located in Sarasota, Florida.  This gorgeous barrier island is perfect for relaxing and enjoying some real quality time! We would like to share some tips, ideas and suggestions that may help make your decision much easier!
Siesta Key is one of Sarasota’s barrier islands. The 8-mile long island is alive with tropical atmosphere, blessed with the world’s finest, whitest beaches, filled with charming hideaways, and always offering plenty to do – but it is also a place to relax, and let the warm breezes, cool water and soft sand transport you to your personal paradise!
There are two drawbridges that connect Siesta Key to the Sarasota mainland, allowing it to remain an uncomplicated natural paradise without sacrificing the amenities of contemporary life. The north bridge, Siesta Drive, is within the City of Sarasota and provides convenient access to the city, its business and arts districts, and to the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport via US Highway 41. The south bridge, Stickney Point Road, provides access to south Sarasota County and a direct route to Interstate 75.
There are two main shopping districts right on Siesta Key, each with a wide variety of shops that carry merchandise ranging from seashells, and T-shirts to the upscale clothing, to ice cream. The Village on Siesta Key is located on the northwest side of the Key about one block from the Gulf. The Siesta South Shopping area begins at the Stickney Point Bridge and goes south along Midnight Pass Road. There are free shuttle services that run til 2am on the island that will pick you up at your vacation residence and deliver you to wherever you want to visit, these services run on gratuities, and are a great way to explore the hidden coves and real estate on the island! Check out SunRide Pedicab, for example.
The beaches of Siesta Key are world-renowned. The pure quartz, pulverized to a fine white powder, has a magical quality. There is no sand quite like Siesta’s anywhere and there are multiple awards to prove this point! In 2011, Siesta Beach was rated as the #1 beach in the United States by “Dr. Beach”, a.k.a. Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman, director of Florida International University’s highly respected Laboratory for Coastal Research. With limited parking, along Beach Road, expansive Crescent Beach has been rated as one of the “Top 10 Beaches in the Worldâ€. Smack-dab- in the center of Crescent Beach is… the “public beach†known as Siesta Beach where Dr. Steve Leatherman, a.k.a. “Dr. Beach†awarded it… The #1 Ranking… above all other beaches in the U.S…. including Hawaii! In 2004 the Travel Channel named it “The Best Sand Beach in America” because of its 99% pure quartz sand that stays cool under your feet. Siesta Key even won an award from the International Sand Contest in 1987 for having the best overall sand anywhere! That means that Siesta Key has the best sand in the WORLD! Even the Travel Channel agrees. In 2004, the Travel Channel’s Best Beaches in America show featured Siesta Key as the Best Sand Beach…on the planet! Even Florida Trend Magazine has named Siesta Beach “The Best Beach†in the State of Florida!

Early summer fishing in Sarasota and its surrounding areas has been fantastic so far this year! Charter fishing captains and local anglers alike continue to regularly report a wide variety of species being caught in the bays and off the beaches.
In shore, we’ve seen a noticeable amount of decent sized Snook along with the abundance of Spotted Sea Trout and Red Fish regularly encountered throughout Sarasota Bay. The off shore reefs continue to produce a good catch and release Grouper bite as well and it’s not uncommon to encounter large Cobia and King Mackerel while free lining live bait in the surrounding areas.
Tarpon Season is also setting into full motion and as the massive schools of fish begin migrating up and down the beaches it’s hard for any dedicated angler to think of anything else. The hunt and hopeful catch of these enormous fish provide an experience unlike anything most people have ever encountered before and should not be missed!

Sarasota finds itself back on the top ten list.. but not for it’s beaches.. (Voted #1 Beach in the Nation , 2011 Dr. Beach)… This beautiful place that some of us are fortunate enough to  call our “home town” has found itself back in the spotlight again.  USA Today Live Stream featured an article by Lydia Schrandt, 10Best.com selecting Sarasota’s marina  as one of the top ten waterfronts to visit across North America.  ” This culture-rich city enjoys close proximity to 40 miles of white-sand beaches lining the barrier islands just off shore. In the city proper, Bayfront Park and Marina is a popular place for biking, walking, kayaking or canoeing with views of Sarasota Bay and the city’s skyline.” (Lydia Schrandt, 10Best.com)  For  complete details of all top ten destinations visit http://usat.ly/12SGab2
